    Why strategy comes first

    Funding isn't one-size-fits-all.

Two businesses can post identical revenue and get completely different answers. Most owners assume there's a single path to capital. In practice there are three, and a business can be strong in one and thin in another.

    • Payment history and how recent any missed payments are
    • Utilization across existing revolving accounts
    • How long accounts have been open and paid on time
    • Recent inquiry and new-account activity
    • Income that reconciles with the supporting documents
    • Pay stubs, returns, or filings depending on how you're paid
    • Existing payment obligations relative to income
    • Average daily balance and overdraft activity on linked accounts
    • Deposit volume and how consistent it is month to month
    • Average daily balance maintained in the business account
    • NSF activity and negative balance days
    • Time in business, filed returns, and documentation depth
The order you approach funding in changes what becomes available to you later. Paying down a balance, letting recent activity age, or building a few months of steadier deposits can change which doors are open the next time you apply.

So which doors are open for you?

Eight questions, about ninety seconds. You'll get an educational read on where your business currently sits and what's worth working on first.

    Question 1 of 8 Revenue

    —

    —

    The pattern we see

Why good businesses can still struggle to get funded.

Being a healthy business and presenting as a fundable one are not the same thing. Most of what limits options is fixable, and most of it is invisible until someone walks through it with you.

    Applying too late

By the time cash flow is under pressure, the account activity providers review is often at its weakest. The strongest time to prepare is before you need it.

Treating revenue as the whole story

Revenue matters. So does what the account looks like between deposits, what obligations exist, and whether the numbers reconcile across documents.

    Uncoordinated applications

Applying to several providers in a short burst leaves a trail of recent inquiries and new accounts. That trail is itself something later providers look at.

    Choosing the wrong product

The largest available approval isn't automatically the right capital. A structure that doesn't match the objective can cost more than it solves.

The most common reason a promising file falls apart isn't a low score. It's stated figures that don't match the supporting documents.

A daughter of entrepreneurs, Sylvia grew up in Chicago surrounded by business owners, real estate investors, and family members who demonstrated that entrepreneurship could be a vehicle for creating opportunity, serving your community, and building a legacy.

She launched her first business in 2009, using social media and community building to grow a brand and turn engaged online audiences into customers. Since then, her experience has spanned sales, customer service, management, marketing, business operations, and access to capital. She has helped entrepreneurs grow businesses to multiple seven figures and worked with established business owners seeking capital to fund their next stage of growth.

Today, Sylvia brings those experiences together to help entrepreneurs strengthen the foundations of their businesses, become funding-ready, implement systems for growth, and understand how to use the right financial tools at the right time.

A wife of 20 years and mother of two sons, Sylvia lives by a simple order of priorities: God first. Family second. Career third. She believes building a successful business should ultimately help you build a successful life.

      • Don't just chase an approval. The fastest yes is not always the right capital.
      • Choose capital that fits.Match the structure to the objective, not the headline amount.
      • Protect your cash flow.Capital should create room in the business, not consume it.

      Book your session

Your next funding decision should start with a strategy.

Understand where your business stands, what may be affecting your options, and which path makes sense before you make your next move. Choose a time below.

      Who this is for

The session isn’t only for business owners who have been turned down for funding. The common thread is a decision point — and needing someone who can read the business and the funding picture at the same time.

      The early-stage founder

The business is formed, or nearly, but the direction is still moving. Funding isn’t the next step yet. The work is getting clear on the business itself, and on what would need to be true before capital becomes a realistic option.

      The professional planning an exit

Employed full-time and building toward something of your own. Household income and personal credit may already be in reasonable shape. The question is which opportunity is worth pursuing, and how to sequence a capital strategy before making a move that is hard to reverse.

      The owner approaching a transition

The business works. What is changing is the objective — growth, restructuring, succession, or whatever comes next. The question is not how to start. It is what you’re building toward now, and which structure of capital fits it.

Different starting points, one need: business strategy through the lens of funding readiness.

      Questions

      Before you book.

A personalized conversation designed to help you better understand your business's current funding position, what you're trying to accomplish with capital, what may be limiting your options, and what next steps make sense. It isn't an application, and it isn't a pitch.

Nothing is required, but the session goes further if you have a general sense of your recent business bank activity, monthly revenue, current debt obligations, and a rough idea of your credit profile.

It also helps to know what the capital is for, roughly how much you're considering, and when you'd want it.

No. Booking a session does not guarantee approval, eligibility, amount, rate, term, or funding. The session is a strategic and educational conversation. All final credit and funding decisions are made by the applicable lender, funding provider, or card issuer.

The session itself is a conversation built around strategy and planning. If a specific funding path later requires authorization to review your credit, that requirement will be disclosed to you before anything proceeds, and it's your decision whether to move forward.

Amounts vary significantly and can't be estimated in advance. What's potentially available depends on the business profile, the funding product, underwriting, revenue, credit, cash flow, documentation, and the individual provider's criteria. Any figure quoted before that review would be a guess.

If potential options exist, Sylvia and the We Lend It team can walk you through what the next steps would involve. If preparation makes more sense first, you'll leave with a clear picture of what to address and roughly how long it may take before revisiting.
